Class Information and Schedules

At Zoolikins, we take pride in helping new and veteran parents explore various parenting concepts while offering a place to gather and share experiences on raising healthy children. 

Currently, we offer several free classes each month on cloth diapering, babywearing, storytime and swaddling - and new for 2012 are breastfeeding support classes.

Registration is limited, so please register early. To register for either of the classes, send an email to Taileah with the words "Class Registration." in the subject.  Please include your name, phone number, and how many will be attending. Cloth Diapering Class

In each class, we will cover:

• General information about cloth diapering, including cost comparisons, environmental concerns, and health concerns
• The different systems of cloth diapers used today
• The different fiber options for cloth diaper covers
• How to fold prefolds
• How to achieve the best fit in prefolds, fitted cloth diapers, and covers
• How to choose the best system for your family
• Washing your cloth diapers
• Good cloth diaper maintenance

We will have many different brands of cloth diapers and covers available for participants to see and feel, and will be happy to cover any additional topics of interest to workshop attendees.

Babywearing Class 

 In each class, we will cover: 

• Benefits of wearing your baby
• Different types of carriers
• Choosing a carrier
• How to properly put your carrier on

Feel free to come in to the store for babywearing help outside of class days. We are happy to help you choose a carrier!

Swaddling Your Baby

Swaddling has many benefits for babies. Join us for this free workshop at Zoolikins for an overview of the benefits of swaddling and instruction on several different methods. We will have a fun giveaway for participants to enter at the workshop!
