DIAPERS:

Suggested Diaper Quantity:

36 for newborn stage

24-36 for infant and toddler

Sized or One-Size:

Sized fitted diapers are great if you are having multiple children and/or want a great fit from the start.  Some adjustable size systems can actually cover from the teeny-tiny to the x-large sizes.

24 - 36 Prefolds, Contours or Fitted Diapers
4 - 6 Snappis - Used to fasten prefolds, contours, or diapers without closures.
4 - 6 Covers - 6 PUL or 3- 4 wool covers per size (or choose adjustable sizing)
OR

24 - 36 All-In-Ones or Pockets
OR
Mix and match with some of each!

Nec-ccessories:

Inserts, Doublers - To add additional absorbency to existing cloth diaper systems.  Many different fabric options are available from natural to synthetics.  Consult with our cloth diaper experts to determine which is right for your situation.

Washable Liners - Stay-dry liners are great additions for any diaper to help protect baby’s skin when frequent changes may not be possible.  Silk liners add soothing benefits for sensitive skin.

Flushable Liners (disposable) - For easy cleaning of soiled diapers, not for absorbency.

Storage:

Pail Liner or Hanging Wet Bag - These waterproof bags are for dirty diaper storage between washes. Pail liners are designed to fit inside a diaper pail (garbage container with lid), while hanging wet bags can go inside pails or hang on doorknobs, zipping shut for containment.  Wash these with your diaper laundry.

On The Go Wet Bags - These waterproof bags are designed for storing your dirty diapers when you are on the go.  They are also great for dry wipes and spray. Many parents prefer to have two or more.  They keep odors contained, your diaper bag dry and can be washed with your diaper load.  Wet bags come in several sizes with zipper or drawstring closure and can be used for just about anything from diapers, make-up, swimwear, sportswear and more.

The Change Area:

Cloth Wipes - Available in many shapes, sizes, and fabric options.  We suggest 24-36.

Wipe Spray/Solution  - A mixture sprayed directly onto baby bottoms to be wiped with cloth wipes.  We have several natural sprays, or make your own solution using Baby Bits, tiny chunks of glycerin soap that can be made into solution in spray bottles or wipes warmers

Wipes Warmer - To keep wipes moist and warm at home

Laundry & Cleaning Products:

Diaper Sprayer - Attaches to your toilet for easy removal and disposal of solid waste.  Most parents feel this is essential.

Detergent - We suggest Mountain Green Baby Free & Clear or Rockin' Green for our hard water conditions.  A little bit goes a long way with cloth diapers.

Special Treatments – Used periodically to ‘strip’ diapers of ammonia and/or soap build up.

Wool Care Products - If you are using wool covers, you will need a wool wash and lanolin.
